The Bridgerton-themed Afternoon Tea is located in The Lanesborough Hotel in the Knightsbridge neighborhood of London, England. Reservations can be made through Open Table and start at £65 or around $77 per person. I recommend making reservations at least 3 weeks in advance as Afternoon Tea, especially when themed, fills up very quickly. 3 options are available, regular afternoon tea, a gin cocktail option, and the last includes champagne. The Bridgerton Tea is available until early November and is the talk of the Ton.
Atmosphere
First off, the hotel is absolutely lovely. I was so impressed with the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff before I even reached the actual area where the afternoon tea was being held that I will make it a point to stay at The Lanesborough upon returning to London. Upon walking in, there is a lovely floral arch with Bridgerton-inspired tea available for purchase. Upon entering the dining room further, I noticed the stunning chandeliers and so much colorful detail from the beautifully carpeted floor to the detailed wall moldings. I loved the immense amount of natural light coming in from the domes skylight and pillars lining the space. The lovely soft jazz music added to the relaxing and elegant atmosphere.
Tea Experience
This tea service was very much a collaborative one. I had a few different servers serving tea, water, and taking plates. The tea ware was simple but lovely, my only quip being that the top of the tiered serving stand was bent. I'm sure this has to do with the storage and truly did not affect my experience but as a fan of extreme detail, was definitely noticeable, even with the nice touch of the spiraling floral accent. The vase on the table was nice but seemed a little out of place compared to the table and room setting. The pastries were great, scones (not pictured) were given on a separate plate along with clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches and desserts were good and flavorful. I appreciate that I was asked about refills on the tea items and was offered takeaway which I kindly accepted as it was quite a lot of foodBridgerton-inspired.
Overall Score
The lovely collaborative service, great food, great tea offerings, and beautiful atmosphere earns The Bridgerton Tea at The Lanesborough Hotel a perfect 5 stars out of 5. While it is a pricier tea in London, the price reflects the high quality, service, and great experience that is to be had.
